This photograph was taken circa 1915.  In the foreground to the left you can see Boots the Chemist, which looks as though it was very popular, or at the very least they had an eye-catching window display.  Next door is W. Thomas' boot and shoe stores.  In 1915 there were a total of 13 boot and shoe makers in Bangor.
